What to expect...

We welcome you to Kindermusik in the Neighborhood.  We are in a neighborhood...that's what makes our studio so inviting.  The studio is cozy, intimate, and concerned with your child's well being.  The studio is covered in soft mats so that your child can run, sing, and dance without worry.  It has a very outdoorsy feel with painted trees, bamboo blinds, and little distraction.

We pride ourselves in having small class sizes.  Our maximum class size is 8 children so that your child receives a hands-on approach with care to the development of the whole child...something that is not attainable with large class sizes.  Our studio is also a "no shoes" studio. As you enter our waiting room, we have shoe recepticles for you and your child's shoes.  Socks are fine, but barefoot is best.

Parental/caregiver involvement in class (and at home!) is necessary for the fullest, richest, most enjoyable experience for both you and your child. We know that you and your child will become passionate about music and be able to watch as the world of Kindermusik unfolds the possibilities in your child.

Music moves you.  One hundred percent of children are naturally musical.  In fact, the first instrument they learn is their own voice.  Kindermusik moves a child by encouraging active individual expression, both physically and vocally.  Through musical activities, a child develops control of motor skills, enhances listening skills and refines language development. A Kindermusik child and family develop a unique musical bond and learn fun ways to incorporate music into their lives at home.

Research is revealing more and more what music teachers have understood for many years that exposure to music, especially in the early years, plays a crucial role in a child's emotional and intellectual development.  For this reason, I believe in giving all children this foundation and passion for music.
